womanhood.

A woman is a dame,
She's always asked to be adorned,
But from inside,
She's scorned.
She's a father's pride
Her child's abide
Her husband's back
Knowledge's sack

She's more powerful than anyone
She's kinder than anyone
She doesn't need achievement to be won.
Who could be more soft-spoken than her? None.

She thereby is a woman.
Woman, who desires,
Women, who set fires,
Women, who cried for loved ones,
Woman, who is the cause of
Why the world runs...

ah yes, womanhood, is a topic I always wanted to talk about. When I say woman, you picture a female in mind. She embraces beauty in her own way. She is "beauty" herself. She is the charm that every man needs. Ever since one's beginning, as a mother, then a sister as a companion, a wife as a partner, and a daughter as pride.

don't be shy. you're absolutely fine
do you know the hardest work in one's life? Business? Family? Farming? No. The act of giving birth. Imagine yourself being a hydra, and you reproduce through budding. If you don't know, It is the development of bud that is connected to the parent body itself and later on gets detached. There are many differences though like it is asexual reproduction but that aside, a woman, as a hydra has to hold her bud that is the baby for 9 months. This reminds me to inform you, I just got over the science exam!

Women are things to be-

Did you mark the mistake? Women are not things. A woman is a dame. A few days back, I led short research on an old tradition, sati, a practice of ancient Hindu cult. In sati,  a widow is forced to follow her husband in his afterlife, by setting herself in her husband's pyre. What does this symbolize? This showed how dutiful a wife is. Also shows how women were called "pure" at that time. Sometimes to reduce torture and pain caused while setting themselves on the pyre, they take poison or drugs before dying in the fire. Through God's grace, sati stopped on 4 December 1829. But I have a fun fact!: 158 years later the abolishment of sati, we had the last known sati.

No, I don't really think this showed how pure women are, nor did Raja Rammohan Roy. But anyway, I recently watched a stand-up by a woman. Of course the women these days are bolder than ever, but the words were delivered so well. "It is said that the cramps during menstrual flow give the equal pain like the pain of heart attack. So next time a guy mocks you for the period cramps or blood flow, ask him if he has seen a man having a heart attack for 4-5 days continuously every single month." And personally, I loved the message. Don't celebrate women, celebrate womanhood. It is beautiful on the inside, not outside, so you might think twice before judging a woman.

Happy women's day 🌸
